This lesson is all about the differences of each generation. It also tackles how the new generation help the older generation to overcome generation gap. In terms of dressing, socializing and relationships and especially in educational system. Since our new generation are expected to face a future professionalism, technology-supported skills is needed to be taught in schools today or else school will become one of the factor affecting the new generation. If schools fails to respond to emergent changes and needs, new learner will lose appreciation of the current technologies and ending up left out.

There is gap between my way of learning to the ways of my nephew in terms of studying science because my nephew is fun of watching videos related to science and me myself is not doing that before I need to read books so that I'll be learning but that gap between me and my nephew did not last long because I easily adopt to his environment. But in real sense I am still on the process of adaptation brought by fast growing technologies.

Change is the only thing in this world that does not change. Changes are constant, human as we are we need to adopt to this kind of change or else we will be eliminated. I grasped changes for I know that this change  will help me become a better and a productive citizen of this country.

As a future facilitators, we need to scaffold those old ones to incorporate the new technologies brought by changes. We need to help each other, we need to be ready and we need to move forward in facing the real world of work. Therefore, lets make a move to solve generation gap, new and old generations must be aware and equipped on how to use and manipulate updated technologies as well schools must be fully prepared in accomodating and resolving generation gap.

Lesson 3: Understanding Technology Learners

Understanding Technology Learners is just one of the roles of teachers nowadays. With this, we are able to understand their different ways of learning or simply their learning styles. This topic talks about what is the role of the teachers in dealing with digital learners. Again, it falls  to the strategies on the part of teacher so that he/she may able to cater the multiple intelligence of the students especially that today's generation we are always relying to technology.

Well, I really need to understand them especially that I have a nephew who is better than me in terms of using the technology. We future teachers, we are not only teaching bu
t we are also learning from our students. There is what we call interrelationship among our students, we take turns so that each of us will learn new things that results to new learning. It is just a matter of understanding and we need to go down to their level but not to the point that our role as a teacher will fade.

As what I've said I have a nephew who is better than me in terms of technology matters. And there are times that he is teaching me how to manipulate it. I felt inferior at first because I am suppose to be the one who is teaching him but I told myself "Learning is a painful process". I need to accept the fact that I didn't know everything, there is what we call limitation. 

As a future teacher, understanding technology learners is a must. We need to equipped ourselves in technology matters for us to fit with the 21st Century learners. We need to move forward, we need to find ways on how we will be able to understand them.. Learn from them and they will learn from you.

Lesson 2: An Overview To Educational Technology 2

Educational Technology 2 is concerned on Integrating Technology into Teaching and Learning. This is putting together technology into teaching and learning so that students will be equipped with skills in manipulating the computer. Educational Technology 2 focuses on introducing, reinforcing, supplementing and extending the knowledge and skills so that students will be aware of using educational technology in instruction. It is also expected that Educational Technology 2 there will be a deeper understanding on the computer as well as hands on application of computer skills. and as we all know the really main goal of Educational Technology is helping students to adopt and meet rapid and continuing changes in information and communication technology (ICT) environment.

"Total experience" that is what is in my mind when I hear  Educational Technology 2. My experienced in educational technology 1 is just the beginning of my journey in the world of technology and as I start another chapter of my journey I will be encountering difficulties but as what I am always telling to myself, this is just a challenge. I will be experiencing more hands on application in the use of computers and that brings a big contribution in developing my computer skills so that I will not be left out by the rapid change brought by technology.

Technology is not only used for recreation and playing, but technology is one important tool that would enhance the way of teaching and acquiring knowledge for both the teachers and the learners. We are lucky that the integration of  technology into teaching and learning is now practice and included in the curriculum. With this, even pre-school student will learn the value and importance of computer and other technologies aside from the neophyte knowledge that a computer is only use for games and recreation.

As a future teacher, we should be equipped with computer skills so that there will a variability in teaching our students, we should always bare in mind that our students are diverse and it is a great challenge to the part of the teachers on how he/she will handle this kind of students he/she have. Teachers strategy is one of the factors that would affect the learning of the students. and I will end this with a question, are you up for the challenge?

Lesson 1: A Review of Educational Technology 1

            The Educational technology 1 contributed alot to the learner to become aware, appreciative and equipped in the use of educational technology tools ranging from traditional to modern educational media. Learners are oriented towards the danger of dehumanization which technology brings into societies. If the learners will not be aware of the danger brought by technology these will continue to affect peoples and cultures and might give gap between the rich and poor countries. The role of educational technology 1 is for us to awaken ourselves that we are now in the era of technology. We must be prepared and equipped with skills for us to fit in the modern world.

 “ Learning is a consequence of experienced”, one of the principles in education that tells us that for us to learn something we must first experienced it. Through experiences we are able to acknowledge the beauty of pain because through pain there is lesson learned. In educational technology 1, my journey is not that easy because at the very first place i am not well equipped with skills in the use of technology. But i took it as a challenge, a challenge that i know at the end i will be proud of myself.  I’ve encountered difficulties especially in manipulation of the software that our instructor gave us. I try and try until it reach to the point that i already know how. Such a blessing having a subject like EdTech 1. My journey in Edtech 1 is just the beginning. I want more experience !

What is really the use of computer? Why we need to adopt to this can kind of environment? Whats the use of our natural resources in the teaching-learning process if we will use computers? Is there really a need for us to know all this thing? Questions that bothers in my mind. But one thing i learned that technology is beneficial when you know the real value of it. Its harmful when even yourself you did’nt know your value. It is just a matter of accepting changes which could help you alot in your career. You are not stagnant, you undergo changes. Its up for you to go with flow or remain at your place. Its your choice. Thing it critically. Always remember this, “ Survival of the fittest and elimination of unfit”.

Theory is far from application, even if you know it pretty well but if you dont know how to apply it, its useless. Like me, what i’ve  learned in making a powerpoint i applied it during my presentation of topic. It is just a matter of applying what is in your mind.
